Internships at U.S. Engineering

Connect with your future.

Internship opportunities

Join the Team! Help us build the future and impact the communities we serve.

Your Legacy Starts Here

Our internship program connects your studies to large-scale commercial builds. Many of our full-time Team Members started as interns, turning classroom knowledge into lasting careers. Whether you’re preparing for a career in the architecture/engineering/construction industry or in accounting or marketing, you’ll walk active jobsites to see our systems in action, tour partner trade unions, and collaborate with professional organizations to network with other interns and firms while deepening your industry knowledge.

You’ll also join fellow interns for a community service project, building connections with your peers while making an impact beyond the jobsite.

Where and When

Internships are offered in our Midwest (Kansas City and Flint Hills) and Rocky Mountain (Denver area) regions. Programs run from late May through mid-August each year. We begin reviewing applications in the fall, and positions fill quickly.

Real Projects. Real Impact.

From day one, you’ll contribute to active projects. Walk jobsites, support fabrication work, and see how complex mechanical systems come to life. It’s hands-on experience that builds confidence and clarity in your career path.

Competitive Pay

We believe in paying our interns fairly for their time and talent. You’ll earn competitive compensation while gaining experience that positions you for long-term success. Interns moving from their home base to one of our locations receive a relocation stipend to cover their housing during their internship.

Mentorship That Matters

Every intern is paired with experienced U.S. Engineering Team Members who guide your learning, share insights, and help you navigate the industry with purpose and professionalism.

Community Engagement

Join fellow interns for a community service project that reflects who we are as a company committed to building systems that serve and strengthen communities. It’s a chance to make a tangible difference beyond the jobsite.
