U.S. Engineering announces the promotion of Scott Mitchell to President of U.S. Engineering Metalworks.
Mitchell joined U.S. Engineering Construction in December of 2019 as Vice President of Project Development in the Rocky Mountain region. He brings over 20 years of industry experience, leading teams of over 1,500 members in organizations ranging from early-stage startups to Fortune 500s across five continents.
In addition to his leadership skills and industry experience, Mitchell is an expert in Lean Six Sigma manufacturing. He helped grow an existing manufacturing company through new product development and new customer acquisition before joining U.S. Engineering.
In the community, Mitchell serves a number of local organizations in the Rocky Mountain region. He is a board member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), and he served on the Leaders’s Initiative for Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper’s administration. Other past board memberships include the Hyatt Hotel Authority, the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association (ALS), Colorado Uplift, Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce, Mental Health Association of Colorado, Colorado Sports Hall of Fame and Urban League.
As President of U.S. Engineering Metalworks, Mitchell will be responsible for overall company operations, including the management of manufacturing facilities located in Johnstown, Colorado, and Kansas City, Missouri.
