Vestas USA II Blade Manufacturing Facility

Vestas Wind Systems A/S manufactures, sells, installs and services wind turbines. After successfully completing Vestas’ first manufacturing facility, U.S. Engineering was brought back as the mechanical contractor to build the second manufacturing facility in the United States. The plant consists of manufacturing space and office space utilized for the production of 135-foot carbon composite blades. U.S. Engineering’s project team completed the project in one phase under an aggressive schedule.

• 7 dust collection systems
• 12 main air handling units
• 7 make-up air handling units
• various small fan coil and packaged rooftop equipment
• compressed air and dust collection piping
