U.S. Engineering Construction provided design-assist mechanical services for Adams 12 Five Star Schools’ FutureForward at Washington Square Facility, which expands the district’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs. Our scope included piping, plumbing, sheet metal, controls, test and balance, and preconstruction support, ensuring the building was equipped for a variety of specialized learning environments.
Sustainability was a cornerstone of this project. Heating and cooling are provided by a ground-source geothermal system supported by heat pumps and energy recovery ventilators, helping the district meet long-term energy efficiency goals.
Through close collaboration between our field teams, office staff, and trade partners, we coordinated installation that met manufacturer requirements while ensuring long-term service accessibility. After completion, U.S. Engineering Construction facilitated meetings between CTE educators and local pipefitting unions to begin building direct pathways from high school classrooms into the skilled trades.
