NEWS & INSIGHTS > Our Community > 2022 U.S. Engineering Midwest Golf Tournament Raises $60,000 for Literacy KC
Oct 17, 2022
On Friday, October 14, U.S. Engineering’s Midwest region held its annual golf tournament, this year benefitting Literacy KC, an organization dedicated to serving the metropolitan area with direct services, advocacy and collaboration. In all, the tournament raised $60,000 for Literacy KC, whose vision is “literacy for all.”
139 golfers participated in the event, and 27 partners, customers and peers made donations. Golfers enjoyed shooting the golf ball cannon, driving with our CEO & Chief Optimist Tyler Nottberg and supporting Literacy KC.
Literacy KC is based in Kansas City, Missouri. It began in 1985 with just a few volunteers. Today, Literacy KC has grown to become a leader in the adult education field, garnering national attention.
Special thanks to all the U.S. Engineering team members who planned the tournament and volunteered that day to make it a success! Your dedication and selflessness are the driving force behind our commitment to leaving a legacy in the community.
