U.S. Engineering October Recap: Learning, Leading, and Giving Back

November 6, 2025

September was a month of connection, celebration, and reflection across U.S. Engineering. From honoring the leaders who built our foundation to celebrating the people who power our projects today, our teams came together to strengthen the relationships that define our culture and legacy.

Strengthening Mental Health Awareness

The U.S. Engineering Innovations team at the Warp10 project in Raleigh, North Carolina, welcomed Rebecca David for QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training on-site.

QPR is often described as “CPR for mental heath.” It equips participants to:

  • Question someone compassionately about suicide
  • Persuade them to seek help
  • Refer them to professional resources

Rebecca continues to lead QPR sessions across other jobsites, helping our teams gain the tools and confidence to recognize warning signs and help those in need.

Investing in Future Builders at Colorado State University

Our U.S. Engineering Construction team partnered with industry colleagues to help the Colorado State University Construction Management Department build a new hands-on HVAC learning lab.

The goal: give students a real system to study and work on, one that mirrors what they’ll encounter in the field. This lab allows students to see firsthand how HVAC systems are constructed, connected, and commissioned.

Thank you to our Rocky Mountain Team Members for giving back and helping equip the next generation!”

Standing Together for Breast Cancer Awareness

Throughout October, Team Members across our regions wore pink to honor survivors, remember loved ones, and raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Thank you to all Team Members who participated and helped spread awareness and the message that early detection saves lives.

Connecting with Community Leaders

On October 1, several U.S. Engineering Metalworks Team Members attended the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission’s 76th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon and sponsored a table.

The event, “Honor the Blue with the Boys in Blue,” brought together local businesses, law enforcement, and community leaders to recognize those who work daily to keep our region safe.

The Crime Commission’s mission to foster safer communities through programs like the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline, Second Chance Risk Reduction Center, and SAFE Fund for families of fallen officers.

Visiting Project Teams Across Regions

This month, CEO Tyler Nottberg visited multiple U.S. Engineering Construction projects across our Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions, including Jackson Country Detention Center and Colorado State University’s James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

These visits highlighted the scale, complexity, and craftsmanship behind our projects, and the incredible expertise of our Field Teams who bring them to life.

October reflected what makes U.S. Engineering unique: a culture of integrity and respect, where everyone is valued and empowered to be their full, authentic, best selves. Thanks to our Team Members for everything you’re doing to help us build a workplace where everyone can thrive
