Led by general contractor Haselden Construction, this expansion project leveraged a high level of prefabrication to save time and money and reduce safety risks.

Located on the Anschutz Medical Campus, the 665,000-sq-ft expansion included a new state-of-the-art tower and critical care space. The addition provides 144 beds, a new emergency department, surgery floor, imaging department, auditorium and kitchen.

U.S. Engineering took the lead on this design-assist project, ensuring that the design was on track and making sure that the needs of UCH were met. By implementing multi-trade prefabrication, U.S. Engineering completed mechanical systems rough-in two months ahead of the aggressive schedule.
