Prefabrication process

U.S. Engineering was a key partner in the successful completion of this project, and the company was featured in Mortenson Construction’s video (also see the infographic at the end of this page):

The new replacement hospital is 827,300 sq ft and features a remote 21,000-sq-ft central plant, a new 306,900-sq-ft parking garage/retail space and a 38,200-sq-ft remodel of the Russell Pavilion (medical office building).

The eight-story hospital includes 350 patient rooms, 24 ORs, multiple pharmacy and lab areas, including a BSL-3 ready lab, multiple dietary areas, including a kitchen, labor and delivery rooms, various office and support spaces and a two-story equipment room on the third level with 17 AHUs. The building is topped with a rooftop helipad.

U.S. Engineering streamlined construction of this design-assist project by leading the multi-trade prefabrication of more than 260 corridor racks.
