What does supporting a culture of continuous learning look like? U.S. Engineering Service Manager Jeremy Hawkins recently showed us.

Rather than discarding a failed screw compressor the Ozarks region Service Team removed after 90,000 hours of operation, Jeremy brought it back to the shop to walk through the failure with our service technicians. During the teardown, the team found that the bearing on the main screw rotor had failed, eventually causing the rotor to seize. Seeing the internal wear up close made it easier to connect how small component changes impact overall performance in the field.
Jeremy, a former factory technician, guided the team through screw compressor fundamentals, including how oil functions for lubrication and hydraulic capacity control, how loader and unloader solenoids work, and how motor windings and poles are designed. The team discussed common failures and what early warning signs look like on real equipment.
Thank you to Jeremy for driving a culture of learning and growth in our Ozarks region! By taking the time to create learning opportunities and sharing manufacturer-level insight, Jeremy is ensuring that our technicians are equipped to be the trusted advisors our customers need.
