SAFC Biosciences Manufacturing Facility

The Alpha Beta Project was an expansion of the SAFC Lenexa manufacturing facility in two separate areas. The existing Animal Component Free (ACF) area was expanded and a new Animal Component Containing (ACC) area was installed both with new milling and blending technologies. Critical to the expansion of both areas was U.S. Engineering’s installation of high-purity piping systems to include clean compressed air, nitrogen, high-purity water, clean-in-place supply/return, and product piping.  This project was completed under an extremely demanding schedule requiring elaborate and detailed planning on the move.
