U.S. Engineering today announced a planned executive leadership transition that will take effect October 1, 2025. Tim Moormeier, President of U.S. Engineering Holdings, will retire from his role at the end of September and transition into a part-time advisory role supporting the organization. Brandon Wikoff has been named his successor, assuming the role of President of U.S. Engineering Holdings and joining the board of directors. In conjunction with this transition, Kevin Sears has been promoted to President of U.S. Engineering Metalworks, the position previously held by Wikoff.

“This transition reflects the strength and depth of leadership across U.S. Engineering,” said Tyler Nottberg, Chairman and CEO of U.S. Engineering Holdings. “Tim has made an enduring impact on our people, our performance, and our principles. We’re grateful he’ll remain involved in an advisory capacity as Brandon and Kevin take on their new roles.”

Moormeier has led the company through significant growth and transformation, with a focus on strategic alignment, manufacturing investment, and culture. Over the past two years, he has worked closely with the executive team to ensure a smooth and thoughtful succession process.

“Being part of this organization has been an incredible privilege,” Moormeier said. “At the end of the day, leadership is about trust—what we do, who we are, and how we show up for our customers and each other. I’m incredibly grateful for the relationships we’ve built and confident in the path forward.”

His contributions have extended beyond U.S. Engineering to the broader construction industry and Kansas City community. Moormeier held national leadership positions with the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) and played a key role in transitioning the MCAA’s Labor Estimating Manual to a digital platform. He also served on the boards of the KC STEM Alliance and the KC Engineering Zone, supporting STEM education and access for underrepresented communities.

Brandon Wikoff, most recently President of U.S. Engineering Metalworks, brings deep operational experience, a people-centered leadership style, and a proven track record of strategic execution. He will assume the position of President of U.S. Engineering Holdings on October 1.

“Brandon stood out as someone who could build on the strong foundation we’ve established while charting a course for future success,” Nottberg said. “His track record is outstanding, as is his commitment to our vision, mission, and core values.”

“I’m honored to serve in this role and excited for what’s ahead,” Wikoff said. “Tim has been a mentor and role model for many of us, and I’m grateful for his continued support. I look forward to working with our leaders, our teams, and our partners to build on our momentum and deliver long-term impact.”

Kevin Sears has been promoted to President of U.S. Engineering Metalworks. He previously served as Vice President of the business and has played a key role in shaping its operational systems, customer relationships, and manufacturing capabilities.

“Kevin is a proven leader who understands the complexity of our work and the value of building strong teams,” Wikoff said. “He’s the right person to lead Metalworks into the future.”
