NEWS & INSIGHTS > Featured > Isha Kassen Featured Among 2019’s “Outstanding Women in Construction”
Dec 09, 2019
U.S. Engineering Innovations Project Manager Isha Kassen was featured as one of 2019’s “Outstanding Women in Construction” in Construction Business Owner (CBO) Magazine.
Kassen was one of 20 women chosen out of 200 applicants to represent the “very best in the industry.” Other Outstanding Women in Construction include company presidents, owners, directors, superintendents, journeypersons, vice presidents and Chief Executive Officers. In addition to her project management work at U.S. Engineering, Kassen has held a variety of positions within the industry.
In her interview, Kassen discusses some of her experiences as a woman in the industry. She recalls working for companies of all sizes, from those with only nine employees to some with over 100, at different capacities, from administration to accounting. Holding such a wide variety of positions throughout her career has shown Kassen that every member of a team can offer helpful information and insight, regardless of their role in the company. She passes that bit of wisdom along to young people entering the industry, including recently to Pittsburg State University construction management students, and to her peers in the industry organizations she serves, including the National Association of Women in Construction and the Construction Leadership Council.
