U.S. Engineering recently ranked 5th on the Kansas City Business Journal‘s list of the area’s largest family-owned businesses, by revenue. CEO Tyler Nottberg is the fifth-generation Nottberg to lead the company, serving as a project engineer, project manager and vice president before taking on the role of CEO.

This List is generated from 2018 revenue, and U.S. Engineering’s $436 million places fifth after Hallmark Cards Inc.’s $4 billion, Lockton Cos.’s $1.72 billion, Olathe Ford Lincoln’s $595.96 million and DH Pace Co. Inc.’s $548 million. Other notable numbers: the 25 companies on the List employed 12,130 full-time team members in 2018, and the List generated a total of $9.6 billion that year.
