NEWS & INSIGHTS > Our Community > U.S. Engineering Empowers the Next Generation of Innovators through Colorado FIRST
Apr 23, 2024
At U.S. Engineering, we’re committed to fostering innovation and education through our partnership with Colorado FIRST, an initiative that supports students in robotics and STEM. Our collaboration with Colorado FIRST is deeply rooted in our mission to connect with our communities, nurturing local talent and advancing technological education.
Tim Moormeier, President of U.S. Engineering Holdings, was instrumental in our involvement after mentoring his son’s FIRST team, witnessing the profound impact on students’ skills and their approach to complex challenges. This experience highlighted the alignment between FIRST’s activities and the intricate work we do at U.S. Engineering, from helping to design sophisticated mechanical systems to installing them in key infrastructures across the U.S.
Our team members actively contribute as mentors, while our facilities support teams by manufacturing and prefabricating modular systems, exemplifying our investment in practical, hands-on education. This engagement not only prepares students for future careers in construction and engineering but also enriches our community, ensuring a thriving local workforce rooted in our region.
