U.S. Engineering

U.S. Engineering hosted Project Lead The Way (PLTW)’s 2024 Annual Teacher Mentor Day. Bringing together 50 educators for a day rich in professional development at our Kansas City headquarters, the event featured comprehensive presentations about U.S. Engineering operations companies, engaging office tours, and insightful discussions on STEM-related career opportunities within our organization. We extend our gratitude to the dedicated PLTW teachers and regional administrators, the leaders of the KC STEM Alliance, and the U.S. Engineering team members who generously volunteered their time to make this event a remarkable one.

PLTW is at the forefront of empowering educators and students in STEM fields, providing a dynamic curriculum that covers computer science, engineering, and biomedical science from PreK through 12th grade. This initiative is aimed at igniting students’ passion for STEM and equipping teachers with the necessary tools and support to enhance educational outcomes.

Similarly, the KC STEM Alliance plays a pivotal role in uniting educators, businesses, and community partners to inspire and cultivate a future workforce proficient in STEM. Through various programs and collaborative efforts, the Alliance is committed to enriching STEM education and offering students tangible experiences that connect their learning to real-world applications.

These organizations are instrumental in shaping the landscape of STEM education, fostering a culture of innovation, and preparing students for the challenges and opportunities of the future. Their collaborative efforts, especially in events like Annual Teacher Mentor Day, underscore the collective commitment to advancing STEM education and career readiness for the next generation.
