Tom Poeling has been named Director of Energy & Sustainability at U.S. Engineering Service. Tom brings to this new position over three decades of experience in energy efficiency consulting and building commissioning. 

Joining U.S. Engineering a decade ago, Tom led a group providing benchmarking, audits, and retro-commissioning services. He transitioned into a role within U.S. Engineering Construction and prior to this new role served as Project Support Director.

Throughout the years, Tom has remained heavily engaged in the Energy spectrum, leading U.S. Engineering’s internal Legacy Project sustainability initiative. He has also remained active in professional organizations, serving as the sustainability liaison for the Colorado Association of Healthcare Engineers (CAHED) and the Building Commissioning Association (BCxA), where he served as President in 2019. Tom holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Colorado State University. He is a Professional Engineer in the state of Colorado and a certified commissioning professional.
