39 and doing fine

The Kansas City Business Journal (KCBJ) released its list of oldest local businesses, and U.S. Engineering ranked 39^th. Though our roots in mechanical work go back to 1855 in Cologne, Germany, the American company was established in 1893, when Gustav Nottberg and family moved to the United States. U.S. Engineering opened its first Kansas City shop at 1429 Walnut St., working primarily in industrial machinery. The business grew over the following decades, and our second regional location in Colorado opened in 1967. And now we operate across the nation. Read more about our company history.
