NEWS & INSIGHTS > Our Community > U.S. Engineering Teams Raise Over $24K in the Denver Heart Walk
Jul 08, 2021
Team members in U.S. Engineering’s Rocky Mountain region raised $24,012 for the 2021 Denver Heart Walk, benefitting the American Heart Association (AHA). The event took place on June 26 in Westminster, Colorado, where 10 U.S. Engineering teams totaling 76 participants (40 walkers!) showed support for the AHA.
This was the first year U.S. Engineering participated in the Denver Heart Walk, which is the AHA’s premier event for raising funds to save lives from this country’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers: heart disease and stroke. According to its website, one million people across the country will participate this year in walks to raise funds for research and awareness.
Thank you to everyone who donated, walked and participated in this year’s event. Special shoutout to Trish Bollinger (Project Development Coordinator, U.S. Engineering Construction), Lauren Wilson (Preconstruction Engineer, U.S. Engineering Construction) and John Marlow (Associate Vice President of Business Development, U.S. Engineering Construction) for organizing and promoting this event.
