NEWS & INSIGHTS > News > CFO Brendan Rittel Elected Chair of Building Profits’ Publication Advisory Committee
Jun 08, 2021
Congratulations to CFO Brendan Rittel on being elected Chairperson of the Publications Advisory Committee for Building Profits, the preeminent publication on finance and accounting issues in the construction industry. Building Profits is published quarterly by the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).
In his role as Chairperson, Rittel will head the committee overseeing the publication’s content, including article topics, adherence to journalistic standards and advertising. The 16-member committee consists of members from all over the United States who are involved in various construction trades in executive roles, either internally working for contractors or providing external services (accountants, lawyers, etc.).
“While I’m honored to be selected for this leadership role,” Rittel notes, “I’m even more excited by all the possibilities. I got involved with Building Profits years ago because I believe in the power of cooperation and education among peers, at both the business and individual levels. Just like at U.S. Engineering, we become the best versions of ourselves when we help others grow and develop. This publication does just that on a broad range of topics, from strategy and business planning to technical guidance and improved processes.” He goes on to say, “I’m also proud to represent U.S. Engineering in this capacity, and Building Profits is certainly eager to expand its relationship with our great organization.”
On its website, CFMA notes that it is “dedicated to serving the needs of construction financial managers (CFMs) and their service providers through the power of education, networking, and information.” Established in 1981, CFMA’s General Members include general contractors, specialty trades, developers, construction managers, architects, engineers, principals, and material and equipment suppliers. Associate Members include professionals in the accounting, insurance, surety, technology, legal, and banking industries, or any other specialty in the construction industry. CFMA currently has more than 8,300 members in 99 chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada.
