Mortenson awarded U.S. Engineering with a STAR Award in the Lean 5(s) category for our teams’ performance on the National Jewish Center for Outpatient Health project.

The STAR Awards are handed out annually by Mortenson, who recognizes outstanding efforts by trade partners. As Gene Hodge, Vice President and General Manager at Mortenson, explains in a LinkedIn post, “Our trade partners play a crucial role in successful project delivery. Each year, we celebrate partners who set themselves apart through their commitment to safety, quality, teamwork and innovation. Their efforts allow us to deliver better experiences for our clients and more impactful results for our communities. We simply could not do all that we do without them!”

Rather than holding their usual award ceremony, due to pandemic restrictions, Mortenson delivered this year’s awards to each honoree.

The project engineer who nominated U.S. Engineering for the award noted that we “have embraced the 5(s) philosophy here at National Jewish in just-in-time deliveries, organization and planning, and they have set up a really good example for the trades coming on board.”
