This month, U.S. Engineering hosted two charity golf tournaments – one in the Rocky Mountain region and one in the Midwest. The hard work and dedication of U.S. Engineering’s team members and the support of generous sponsors resulted in over $96,000 raised for There With Care and The American Heart Association!

Rocky Mountain Tournament

At the Rocky Mountain Golf Tournament, 143 golfers, and 35 volunteers enjoyed a beautiful day of golf. When golfers arrived, they received U.S. Engineering dry bags filled with goodies and were welcomed by a Mimosa & Bloody Mary bar. The tournament also featured door, raffle and placement prizes, a drone, and a golf ball cannon, all in support of There With Care.

There With Care’s mission is to provide a wide range of services to children and families during the critical phase of a medical crisis. For the first time ever, attendees were joined by a tournament honoree, Joseph, a young man who benefited from There With Care’s unique services, and his family. Altogether, the tournament raised $54,126 for There With Care.

Midwest Tournament

In the Midwest Region, 141 golfers powered through less-than-perfect weather to show support for the American Heart Association in Kansas City. Upon arrival, golfers received a U.S. Engineering-branded Titleist hat and a sleeve of U.S. Engineering golf balls. After about 4 holes of golf, a severe thunderstorm hit. While many golfers made it back to the clubhouse to get out of the storm’s path, some weren’t as fortunate and waited out the storm huddled in an underground tunnel in the middle of the golf course. When they got the “all clear,” teams were ready to go and finished all 18 holes! When the golfing was over, attendees enjoyed a delicious taco bar and refreshments, and raffle prizes and placement prizes were awarded. At the end of the day, U.S. Engineering was able to present the American Heart Association in KC with $1,435 received from the 50/50 raffle and the Yeti Cooler raffle, and a check for $45,350.
