The Denver Public Schools energy conservation project consisted of renovating fourteen schools in the Denver metro area.

The overall project goal was to decrease energy consumption by replacing old, inefficient mechanical equipment with new, high-efficiency units that control the indoor air quality for over 1.2 million sq ft. U.S. Engineering’s preconstruction efforts allowed the project to be completed quickly, before the start of the new academic year. Preconstruction on this project included project team schedule coordination, value engineering and 3-D detailing.

  • 8 high-efficiency condensing boilers totaling more than 43,000 MBH
  • 1,400 tons of cooling
