U.S. Engineering is the 12th largest mechanical contractor in the United States, according to a recent report published by Engineering News-Record (ENR), up from 15th a year ago. The news came in the October 14 issue, which listed the top 600 specialty contractors in the country.
The company checked in at No. 54 among all specialty contractors (61st last year). The following trades fall into ENR’s “specialty” category: asbestos abatement, concrete, demolition, electrical, glazing/curtain wall, mechanical, masonry, painting, roofing, sheet metal, steel erection, utility, wall/ceiling and excavation.
In ENR’s report, electrical contractors generated the most revenue out of the group, accounting for 33 percent of revenue reported in the survey. Mechanical contractors represented the next largest specialty with 23 percent of the revenue.
