U.S. Engineering is proud to sponsor Wounded Warrior Andre Cillier.

Andre competed in the 11th annual Team River Runner Biathlon September 28th, 2015 in Washington D.C., and U.S. Engineering funded the kayak he is holding.

Thanks to our efforts and of major sponsors like our customer Clark Construction, wounded veterans are able to feel the joy of being on the water with kayaks that are custom modified to compensate for their disability.

Andre was on an Army Special Forces team that was deployed to Iraq in 2008 when he sustained an enemy gunshot wound to the left armpit. This left him with his arm lacking most of its function. Creating Mobility created a paddle adapted to Andre’s needs. After 5 iterations they now have a version that helps Andre navigate Class 3 Rapids.
