Johnson County’s new criminalistics laboratory consists of 63,000 square feet and houses nine specialized labs requiring unique environments such as air pressure, air flow, temperature, noise and odor control. The new facility also includes office and support spaces. The project is registered as LEED® Platinum and incorporates numerous sustainable features including geo thermal heating and cooling, heat recovery, day lighting control, low flow fume hood, demand based ventilation eater conservation, and solar photo-voltaic technology.
