Hilton President Hotel
Kansas City, MO

The design-build project was a complete renovation of the Historic Register high-rise President in downtown Kansas City, where numerous U.S. presidents stayed prior to the hotel’s deterioration and eventual closure in the 1980s.

The historic hotel was converted and provided with modern amenities while maintaining the historic finishes throughout much of the building. It now features 213 guest rooms and suites, modern amenities, restaurants, lounges, fitness center and 12,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space.

Building systems included:

• New chiller plant and central domestic hot water heating
• Domestic water booster systems
• Commercial kitchens and dining facilities
• Multiple air-handling units, energy recovery ventilators, hotel room fan coil units and stair pressurization systems
