Liberty Hospital Cardiology Addition and Renovation

U.S. Engineering was selected as mechanical contractor for this 50,000-square foot hospital addition and remodel to the cardiology and surgery program, including a new MEP central plant, plant services and receiving dock.
Building systems included:
- New central utility plant
- New boiler plant, including new boilers totaling 1,600 HP and a 30,000-gallon fuel oil storage tank
- Chilled water plant, adding 1,200 tons of additional cooling to the existing facility
The project included the vertical expansion of the hospital for the new cardiology addition. The vertical expansion includes a 25,000-cfm custom air-handling unit, humidification, controls and medical gas system.
